Kailash is a sacred mountain for six religions — the most mysterious peak in the world. The program: kora (ritual circumambulation) around Kailash and the key sacred sites of Tibet.
In 2026, sacred Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar become the centre of a large pilgrimage with rare astrological energy.
This is the Fire Year of the Horse in the Tibetan calendar — once every 60 years. In this period one kora around Kailash is traditionally counted as 13 circumambulations — many times more powerful in spiritual merit than in an ordinary year.
What is kora
Kora is a circumambulation of the holy mountain. By tradition, each step clears karma and restores clarity. This is not ordinary trekking, but a conscious inner path along a spiritual route to a place of power and transformation.

Why is September 2026 special?
2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse in the Tibetan calendar (once every 60 years). By tradition, one kora around Kailash in this year counts as 13 circumambulations. A kora during the full-moon period is especially meaningful — and our Nepal route reaches Kailash at exactly this time.
How physically demanding is the route?
This is a real high-altitude pilgrimage: trek to Gosaikunda (up to 4,610 m at Lauribina pass) and Kailash kora (~52 km over 3 days, Drolma La 5,630 m). You need at least moderate fitness and readiness for altitude. Acclimatisation is gradual via Nepal and Kerung.
What is included in the €4,500 price?
Organisation of the Kathmandu — Gosaikunda — Kerung — Manasarovar — Kailash kora — return route: transfers, accommodation on program, permits, guides and porters. Also included: spiritual practices (havan, puja, meditation), professional photo/video, and a finished video film of your kora. Flights to Kathmandu are usually separate — confirmed when booking.
Do I need a visa / Tibet permit?
Yes. Entry to Tibet via Kerung is arranged with the group (Chinese group permit / Tibetan travel permit). Documents are prepared in advance — passport details needed several weeks before departure.
